Good Bad Things

Inspired by a childhood friend, LA-based filmmaker makes a film about a young man living with Muscular Dystrophy, and finding love.

Things need to change for things to get better, and that’s so scary. What if this is one of those good bad things?

Good Bad Things is a quirky, heartwarming romance with just the right mix of laughs and real feels.

Meet Danny, a guy with muscular dystrophy who's pretty much over failed relationships—until he dives into the wild world of online dating. Enter Madi, a mysterious photographer who makes him rethink everything, pushing him to embrace his quirks and find beauty in his one-of-a-kind body.

This gem is the brainchild of first-time director Shane Stanger, who created it as a love letter to his best friend and co-writer, Danny Kurtzman. Danny even stars as... well, Danny!

For Stanger and Kurtzman, keeping it real was key—showing that life for disabled people is full of family, friends, and if they're lucky, love, just like anyone else.
