Grant Writing Mock Jury

Led by Wayne Burns, this hands-on workshop offers artist-producers an insider’s look into what makes a grant application successful.

A binder labelled "GRANTS" sits on a desk, stacked on top of other folders.

Our friends at Generator TO are hosting a "Grant Writing Mock Jury" workshop next week.

In a unique mock-jury exercise, you’ll get to review real grant applications—some successful, some not—and score them using an authentic jury rubric.

Afterward, facilitator Wayne Burns will lead a discussion on the scoring process, providing valuable insights into what catches a jury member's eye and what might hold an application back.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with:

  • A clear understanding of what jury members prioritize
  • Practical tools to refine your own grant proposals
  • A deeper awareness of common pitfalls and how to avoid them

When and where?

📆 Friday, December 11th @ 2pm - 4pm ET
📍 In-person, 1100 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M5R 3G9, Canada
♿️ Free

Registration deadline is December 5th--click the link below for more details!
