We are passionate about getting disabled people into actual work, and creating careers rather than just jobs.
Last year, Netflix partnered with Making Space to launch a tutorial program aimed at expanding education and career access for d/Disabled graphic designers interested in the film and entertainment industry.
The program addresses barriers in the industry, including institutional biases and financial and regional accessibility issues, with a focus on creating accessible pathways into entertainment for d/Disabled artists based on talent and merit.
Making Space has previously worked on creating talent pipelines for d/Disabled creatives and has partnerships with other organizations in the entertainment industry. Their aim is to bridge the education-employment divide for d/Disabled individuals and create lasting careers in the industry.
