Improving accessibility is an important step in creating a more inclusive, vibrant and livable community.
If you've always wanted to chance to give your input on accessibility in a town, here is your chance.
The Town of Oakville is asking for the public's input for their 2024-2029 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. As someone who visits Oakville often, I'll definitely be taking some time to add my input and I hope you will too!
An online survey will be open until February 25 for individuals with disabilities, and the organizations and caregivers who support them, to provide feedback and help shape the town’s actions over the next five years.
The town is also welcoming input from anyone who lives, works, visits or offers services in Oakville. This is a fantastic opportunity for folks with lived experience to offer valuable insight on employment, moving around Oakville, accessing town facilities and more.
If the survey is not an accessible format, alternate ways to provide feedback are available and can be requested by calling ServiceOakville at 905-845-6601 or emailing service@oakville.ca.
