The theater will be cozified with pillows and blankets for audience members as Bridger explores pathways to warmth and relief.
LookOut is Steppenwolf Theatre's (based in Chicago) performance series that presents the work of artists and companies across genre and form.
Emerging artists and performance legends, quintessential Chicago companies and young aspiring ensembles, familiar Steppenwolf faces and new friends.
Featured in the lineup for this year is Radiate, a new piece by Maggie Bridger, an artist and scholar immersed in disability arts and culture. Maggie takes "Relaxed Performance" to a whole new level as the theatre will be cozified with pillows and blankets for audience members as a way of exploring pathways to warmth and relief.
In an exciting moment of worlds colliding, Creative Connector member and Sensory Shift guest-artist Andy Slater will be providing the audio description for this show. As well, ASL interpretation is built into the piece. If you find yourself in Chicago next month, check out this performance!
