All bodies are mysterious, and constantly changing, and in need of help. Yet we build for "normal" and "independent."

In a recent episode of the On Being with Krista Tippett podcast, Sara Hendren discussed how our built environment is designed based on a concept of "normal," even though each of our bodies is unique, constantly adapting, and always changing.

This ordinary fact is often overlooked, but Sara has dedicated her career to exploring it through her diverse roles as an artist, teacher, and parent of a child with Down syndrome.

Her work encourages folks to marvel at the everyday adaptations that their bodies make.
